After finishing my dining room, to include brass plate covers for all sockets and switches, the plastic dimmer knob looked horribly out of place. I tried painting it with metalic paint: big flop. I looked at [...], but the knobs were both expensive and flimsy feeling. So I tried here. The knob was just under [$]); and, to my great surprise, was heavy and solid! Wonderful!The only drawback is that the silicone sleves to mate the knob to my dimmer did not fit. A bit of toying with a pliars and some brute force solved that.Now the knob looks perfect, and the dining room is complete. Dinner is served!

This was a perfect match for my bathroom redo but we had to do a little retrofitting to install with another retailer's switchplate. All worked out OK. [...] I love it!
