It is cumbersome to fold down and not quite as long as we need it for our bench. It is difficult to find folding brackets that have this weight rating.

The fold-down levers are high quality, the metal is very strong, the sliders are smooth. I created a fold-down desk/writing platform, and it worked out perfectly using this bracket and a 15" deep tabletop. Be sure you can mount it into studs!

I am using these brackets for a fold down bench in my foyer...simply amazing brackets! Well made and very smooth operation. My 3 yr old son can easily raise and lower the bench. Holds at least 270lbs no problem...that's me plus my son on it at the same time!
