This Frog Brass/Green Door Knocker is part of the Garden Guests Door Knockers series.

    All Michael Healy Door Knockers have been coated with a baked, catalyzed polyurethane paint (similar to the clear top coat on an automobile and should be cared for similarly). Coating the Door Knocker with a paste wax will greatly extend the life of the finish. Do Not use a brass cleaner or an abrasive pad, this will damage the clear coating and the original polished finish.

    It's fun. It's whimsical. And it works. Because I have it at my front door but on the siding, people are sometime confused about what it's use is. I solved this by putting a small "please knock" brass plate by it and that solved the problem.

    Whimsical piece that makes your front door inviting, especially if you have a garden around the door. Simple installation, good design for smooth operation and long lifetime. Company also offers refinishing if needed, but looks like item has very durable finish.
